'Tis the Season to be Healthy!

'Tis the Season to be Healthy!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  The Christmas season is upon us. The songs are on the radio, the stores are having their sales, and everyone has already begun to run around in preparation for this Christmas season.
All this running around creates havoc for our immune systems and overall health.
Here are a few of our favorite useful tips to stay on top of your health and wellness journey this season.
1. Make sure to keep your CRT and Coaching appointments.
You are important and so is your health. For the sake of your health put yourself first when it comes to maintaining your wellness plan.
2. Drink your water! Hydration is a powerful thing!
If you want to add a little detoxification and immune support, add a few drops of doTerra's Lemon Essential Oil to your water (just don't use in plastic bottles).
3. Get Plenty of Sleep!
Nothing lowers your immune system quicker than not having good sleep. Make sure to get at least 8 hours each night. Limit use of devices/screen time, phones, computers.
4. Limit your sugar intake.
We know the goodies are all around us! But that isn't a good enough reason to tank your health for a 3 second high only to crash shortly after. Instead, save the indulgences for special occasions and enjoy! (just watch it... a delightful bite, Mmmm... yes!  an all night party binge... no!)   Instead, have a Protein Shake before the party.http://bit.ly/CoachKatysMomsanityStore      Then choose your delightful bits wisely.  Have fun!
5. Exercise! Move your body!
Twenty minutes of "rest based" exercise, three days each week. Whaaaaat? Interested in learning more about this?  (my friend and Coach's website: www.fitwithdeb.com)   Let us know!  Meanwhile, take that walk... ride that bike... lift those weights... swim... dance... and enjoy the benefits of elevating your mood and decreasing feelings of depression, anxiety, and stress.
6. Pray.
Take time to pray. Be still. Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things that will whither and rust and blow away. Be still. Ask the Lord to be near you. Be still. Listen. Wait. Be still. ... and trust Him to draw near to you, as you draw near to Him.
Let's thrive; not merely survive!
